Precision Strike Helicopter – Apache Longbow

Apache Longbow, is a wonderful helicopter which conducts rear close & deep precision strikes, provide armed reconnaisance & security when required in day, night & adverse conditions. Apache is a development & acqusition program for a millimeter wave rader air & ground targeting system capable of using day, night and adverse weather & through battle field observants.

Apache consists primarily of the integration of a mast mounted millimeter -wave for cotrol radar (F.C.R), a radar frequency interferometer & radio frequency tune & muscle on the apache. Its dsistributed target acquistion system provides automated detection location, classification, it can detect 16 seperate target within one minute. The mission speed is 167 miles per hour.

The weight of the apache is 16600 pounds. The crew members are 2. It can be armed with hell fire mussles and & 2,7S rocket guns & 30 mm charm gun. It can attack different targets with a precise & priority.

Technology & Uses of Cargo Helicopter

The helicopter invented by Sikorsky Russian engineer is now Revolutionizing the world. The Helicopter is used in the war fields, in crisis management, in the floods, at the time of earthquakes, Blizarrds & avalanches.

The transport helicopter especially used in transporting weapons, ammunition, equipments, troops & other cargo in support of combat units in the war. The transport helicopter weighs around 50000 pounds at max cruise speed of 184 miles/hr with a troop capacity of 33 meters and a slang load capacity of 26000 pound center hook, the transport helicopter with minimum crew of 3 (pilot, co-pilot & flight engineer).

Now the cockpit of transport helicopter with a digital databus that permits enhanced communication & navigational equipment for improved mission performance & survivability. Airframe vibrations which increases operation cost & crew fatigue reduced by structural modifications that change the natural freqency of air frame. The engine produces around 3750 to 4800 shaft horse power. The enginners are now trying to develop a low maintainance rotor hub.

The transport helicopter is a lengthy helicopter. It is having two major rotor hubs. One in the front and one in the back of the helicopter, where as other helicopter small rotor in the back of the helicopter.

Commercial Aircraft Engines

Commercial aircraft engines especially used in the Airbus A318, A319, A320 & A321 with a take of thrust ranging from 22000 to 33000 pounds. Commercial aircraft engine consists of 16000 components & having 30 three dimensional aerodynamic design of the blades and vanes throughout the turbomachinary.

It is having “DOUBLE ANNULAR COMBUSTOR” reducing as much as 40% of emmision of Nitrogen Oxides. (Nox) It is having Max climb thrust at 35000 ft – = 0.8 -
Engines length is 102.30 Mt. Fan diameter is 68.30 mt. The commercial aircraft engine is manufactured by GE (US), Snecma, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce.

There are around 7000 Flights powered by these engines which runs into 80 million flight hours. All these commercial flight engines are timely tested for 50000 hours before allowing to commercial flight. There is no engine failure while flying.

All the 16000 components are made to a high standard quality.Standard metallurgy (different composition of metals) and different processes of combining them are also needed. If a single component gives trouble, all the 16,000 components are interlinked & it gives a failure of engine. Everything is properly assemebled, fitted & tested properly. It is a marvellous & wonderful in the modern technological world.
